When something goes wrong with your website, start here. This guide covers the most common EnrolWeb hosting issues and how to resolve them quickly.

My website is down

1

Check DNS

Confirm your domain points to EnrolWeb hosting. Use whatsmydns.net to verify.
2

Check the status page

Visit the EnrolWeb status page to see if there’s a known outage.
3

Verify hosting is active

Sign in to your dashboard and confirm your plan is active and not suspended.
4

Check disk usage

A full disk can take your site offline. Free up space in cPanel > Disk Usage.

My site is slow

Enable caching

Use a caching plugin or a CDN to speed up page loads.

Optimize images

Compress large images and serve them in modern formats.

Update PHP version

Use the latest supported PHP version in cPanel.

Check for heavy plugins

Deactivate plugins one by one to find slow ones.

500 Internal Server Error

1

Check the error log

In cPanel, open Errors to see recent server errors.
2

Review .htaccess

A broken .htaccess rule is a common cause. Rename it temporarily to test.
3

Verify file permissions

Files should be 644 and folders 755. Fix from File Manager if needed.
4

Check PHP memory limit

Increase the PHP memory limit in Select PHP Version > Options.

Database connection errors

1

Verify credentials

Check your database name, username, and password in your app’s config file.
2

Confirm the database exists

Open MySQL Databases in cPanel and confirm the database is listed.
3

Check user privileges

Make sure the database user has full privileges on the database.

Email delivery issues

1

Verify MX records

Confirm MX records point to EnrolWeb mail servers.
2

Check SPF, DKIM, DMARC

Missing authentication records cause deliverability problems.
3

Check the mail queue

In cPanel, open Mail Queue to see pending or failed messages.
If your site is still down after these steps, contact support@enrolweb.com with the domain name, timestamps, and any error messages.
