DNS (Domain Name System) is what connects your domain to real servers on the internet. This guide explains how to manage nameservers and DNS records for domains in your EnrolWeb account.

Nameservers vs DNS records

  • Nameservers decide which DNS service manages your domain. By default, EnrolWeb uses its own nameservers so you can manage DNS from your dashboard.
  • DNS records map your domain to specific servers, IP addresses, or services (websites, email, verification tokens).

Update your nameservers

Open your domain

Go to Domains in your dashboard and select the domain you want to update.

Find the Nameservers section

Choose between EnrolWeb Nameservers (default) or Custom Nameservers.

Enter custom nameservers

If using a third-party DNS provider, enter their nameservers (usually 2-4 addresses).

Save changes

Save and allow up to 48 hours for changes to propagate globally.

Common DNS record types

A record

Points your domain to an IPv4 address.

AAAA record

Points your domain to an IPv6 address.

CNAME record

Aliases your domain to another domain name.

MX record

Directs email to your mail servers.

TXT record

Stores verification, SPF, DKIM, and other text data.

NS record

Delegates a subdomain to different nameservers.

Add or edit a DNS record

Open DNS Management

From your domain settings, click DNS Management.

Add a new record

Click Add Record, choose the type (A, CNAME, MX, TXT, etc.), and enter the required values.

Save and wait for propagation

Save the record. DNS changes typically take a few minutes to a few hours to propagate, sometimes up to 48 hours.
Incorrect DNS records can break your website or email. Double-check values with your hosting or email provider before saving.
