# Connect Your Domain to Hosting

> Point your domain to EnrolWeb hosting by updating nameservers or DNS records so your website loads on your custom domain name.

Once your hosting is set up, connect your domain so visitors reach your website when they type your domain name. You can do this by updating nameservers or by editing DNS records.

## Option 1: Use EnrolWeb nameservers (recommended)

If your domain is registered with EnrolWeb, it's already pointed to EnrolWeb nameservers. If your domain is elsewhere, update the nameservers at your registrar.

    In your hosting dashboard, look for the assigned nameservers (usually `ns1.enrolweb.com` and `ns2.enrolweb.com`).

  <Step title="Update nameservers at your registrar">
    Sign in to your domain registrar and replace the current nameservers with the ones from EnrolWeb.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Wait for propagation">
    Nameserver changes take up to 48 hours to propagate globally.

## Option 2: Update DNS records only

If you want to keep your current DNS provider, update the A record instead.

    In your EnrolWeb hosting dashboard, note your assigned IP address.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Update the A record">
    At your DNS provider, edit the A record for `@` (root) and `www` to point to your EnrolWeb IP address.

  <Step title="Wait for propagation">
    DNS changes typically propagate within a few hours.
  </Step>

## Add a domain to hosting

    Sign in to your hosting and open **cPanel**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Find Domains">
    Click **Domains** under the Domains section.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Add a new domain">
    Click **Create A New Domain**, enter your domain name, and choose the document root.
  </Step>

## Verify the connection

Once DNS has propagated, visit your domain in a browser. It should load your website from EnrolWeb hosting.

  Test propagation with tools like [whatsmydns.net](https://whatsmydns.net) or the `dig` command.

  Changes to nameservers or DNS can cause temporary downtime while records propagate. Plan updates for low-traffic times when possible.
