# Node.js Hosting

> Deploy and run Node.js applications on EnrolWeb hosting, including version selection, environment variables, and application management.

EnrolWeb supports Node.js applications so you can run APIs, real-time apps, and full-stack projects alongside your regular websites. Manage everything from cPanel's Application Manager.

## Set up a Node.js application

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open Application Manager">
    In cPanel, find **Setup Node.js App** under the Software section.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Create a new application">
    Click **Create Application** and choose your Node.js version.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Configure paths">
    Set the application root (where your code lives), the application URL, and the application startup file (usually `app.js` or `server.js`).
  </Step>

  <Step title="Install dependencies">
    Enter the application, then click **Run NPM Install** to install packages from `package.json`.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Start the app">
    Click **Start** to run your application. Visit the assigned URL to test.
  </Step>

## Manage environment variables

    In Setup Node.js App, click the pencil icon next to your application.

  <Step title="Add variables">
    In the **Environment variables** section, add each variable name and value.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Restart the app">
    Click **Restart** so your app loads the new values.

## Deploy code updates

<Steps>

    Use File Manager, FTP, or Git to update files in your application directory.

  <Step title="Install new dependencies">
    Run **NPM Install** in Application Manager if `package.json` changed.

  <Step title="Restart the application">
    Click **Restart** to load the new code.
  </Step>
