# Domain Security

> Protect your domain with WHOIS privacy, transfer locks, two-factor authentication, and other security features available in EnrolWeb.

Your domain is a critical business asset. EnrolWeb provides several security features to protect it from unauthorized transfers, hijacking, and public exposure of your personal information.

## Key security features

## Enable WHOIS privacy

WHOIS privacy replaces your personal contact info in the public WHOIS database with EnrolWeb's proxy details.

  <Step title="Open your domain">
    Go to your **Domains** dashboard and click the domain you want to protect.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Toggle WHOIS Privacy">
    Find the **WHOIS Privacy** setting and switch it on.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Save changes">
    Save. Your contact info is hidden from public lookups immediately.
  </Step>

## Enable the transfer lock

    Select the domain in your dashboard.

  <Step title="Enable Domain Lock">
    In the security section, toggle **Transfer Lock** to **On**.

  You'll need to unlock the domain before initiating any outbound transfer.

## Secure your account

Your domain is only as safe as the account that manages it.

    Choose a unique password that isn't reused on any other site.

  <Step title="Enable two-factor authentication">
    Turn on 2FA in your account security settings.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Review active sessions">
    Regularly check for and sign out any unrecognized sessions.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Keep contacts current">
    Make sure your registrant email is monitored so you receive security notifications.
