# Domain Transfers

> Transfer a domain to EnrolWeb from another registrar, or move a domain out of EnrolWeb, with a clear step-by-step process and requirements.

You can bring existing domains into EnrolWeb or move them out at any time. This guide covers both inbound and outbound transfers, along with the requirements and timeline.

## Transfer a domain to EnrolWeb

  <Step title="Prepare your domain">
    At your current registrar: unlock the domain, disable WHOIS privacy temporarily, and confirm the admin contact email is up to date.

  <Step title="Get the authorization code">
    Request the EPP/authorization code from your current registrar. You'll need it to authorize the transfer.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Start the transfer at EnrolWeb">
    Go to **Domains > Transfer** in your EnrolWeb account, enter the domain name, and paste the authorization code.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Approve the transfer">
    Check the admin contact email for a confirmation request and approve it. Payment covers a one-year renewal added to your registration.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Wait for completion">
    Transfers typically complete in 5-7 days. You'll receive an email once the domain is active in your EnrolWeb account.

## Transfer requirements

    Domains transferred within the last 60 days cannot be transferred again.

## Transfer a domain out of EnrolWeb

<Steps>
  <Step title="Unlock the domain">
    In your EnrolWeb domain settings, turn off the transfer lock.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Request the auth code">
    Generate and copy the authorization (EPP) code from the domain's settings page.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Start the transfer at the new registrar">
    Provide the authorization code to your new registrar and follow their transfer process.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Approve the transfer request">
    You'll receive a confirmation email; approve it to release the domain.
  </Step>

  Domain transfers do not interrupt your website or email as long as DNS records remain unchanged during the transfer.
