# Email Troubleshooting

> Diagnose and fix common EnrolWeb email issues including delivery failures, sign-in problems, spam filtering, and mail client sync errors.

Most email problems fall into a handful of common categories. This page walks you through diagnosing and fixing the most frequent EnrolWeb email issues so you can get back to work fast.

## Can't send email

    Confirm your outgoing server matches EnrolWeb's hostname. Use port 465 (SSL/TLS) or port 587 (STARTTLS).

    Some networks block port 25 or 587. Try port 465, or test from a different network or mobile hotspot.

## Can't receive email

    Confirm your MX records point to the correct mail servers. Use an online lookup tool or `dig MX yourdomain.com`.

    A full mailbox will bounce new messages. Log in to webmail and delete or archive old messages.

    Look in the junk folder and review any forwarding rules or custom filters that might redirect mail.

## Emails going to spam

    Add or update an SPF TXT record authorizing your provider's servers.

    Enable DKIM in your provider's admin console and publish the TXT record in EnrolWeb DNS.

    Start with `p=quarantine` or `p=none` to monitor, then move to `p=reject` once records work.

    Avoid bulk or unsolicited mail, keep lists clean, and use a consistent From address.

## Sign-in issues

    Use the password reset link on the webmail or control panel login page.

  <Step title="Check two-factor authentication">
    Confirm you're entering the current 2FA code. If you lost access to your 2FA method, contact support.

    Some clients don't support 2FA prompts. Generate an app-specific password in your provider's admin panel.

## Sync problems
